Darren Aronofsky In “Final Talks” For ‘RoboCop’Sequel?
just last week, a trade piece came out reporting director darren aronofsky (”requiem in requital for a dream”) had been one of the many directors circling a remake of paul verhoven’s “classic” dystopian satire, “robocop.”the often amusingly unreliable horror-enthusiast area bloody disgusting.com is now reporting that aronofsky is in definitive talks on the project and are claiming it’s not a remake, but rather, a sequel.the logline they report is: present day los angeles, 20 years after the desinence of the robocop program, the city decides to reinstate the program.some are suggesting the engagement could be a darker, re-boot style sequel in the inclination of “the dark knight/batman begins” and the “terminator salvation” vapour with christian bale. we’re just hoping this doesn’t mean the end of aronofsky movies that look have a weakness for yes album covers meant to be consumed on psychedelics (see “the fountain”). whether it’s true is anyone’s guesstimate, bloodyd doesn’t have the greatest track record, but they do reassure us with their justification of covering the news in the first setting. “[the underived was] pretty damn bloody acheter viagra, and it’s pretty damn loathsome… satisfactory enough for [us].” indeed. the playlist - the sweet spot where movies and music be met by.
